About ATSG, Inc.
ATSG, founded in 1994, is an IT solution provider headquartered in New York, New York.
What happened?
In September 2024, ATSG Inc. reported a data breach to the Department of Health and Human Services affecting the health information of 909,469 individuals due to unauthorized access to its servers. One client, Boston Children’s Health Physicians, confirmed that it was impacted and notified its patients about a month later. The BianLian hacking group claimed responsibility for the breach and listed Boston Children’s Health Physicians on its dark website. This listing was later removed, indicating a potential ransom payment. Other healthcare clients affected, such as River Region Cardiology in Alabama and Augusta-Aiken Orthopedic in Georgia, have not yet reported the breach.
How can I protect my personal data?
If you receive a data breach notification, you must guard against possible misuse of your personal information, including identity theft and fraud, by regularly reviewing your account statements and monitoring your credit reports for suspicious or unauthorized activity. Additionally, you should consider legal options for mitigating such risks.
Edelson Lechtzin LLP is investigating a class action lawsuit to seek legal remedies for customers who may have had their sensitive personal and patient data compromised by the ATSG data breach.
