What happened?
On or about August 23, 2024, AnnieMac Home Mortgage became aware of suspicious activity on certain systems within its computer network. The company launched an investigation and discovered that between August 21, 2024 and August 23, 2024, an unknown actor gained access to AnnieMac’s network and viewed and/or copied certain files containing sensitive personal information, including names and Social Security numbers. More than 171,000 people have been affected by this data breach.
