Innovative Renal Care, operating under the name of American Renal Management, specializes in providing kidney care services for patients with chronic kidney disease and end-stage renal disease (ESRD). The company partners with nephrologists and healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive treatment options, which include in-center hemodialysis, home dialysis support, and assistance with transplants.
What happened?
On or around February 29, 2024, Innovative Renal Care detected unusual activity within its computer network. The company attempted to secure its systems and began an investigation, which revealed that an unauthorized individual had gained access to certain areas of the network between February 21 and March 1, 2024. During this period, the intruder accessed files and folders containing confidential consumer information. On February 14, 2025, IRC filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts.

The personal information that may have been compromised includes:
