On Behalf of | Aug 27, 2025 | Consumer Protection

Leaking shower drains may be defective

This Alert Affects:

Anyone who has installed a Schluter®-Kerdi Line Drain in a shower in their home (or other property) and experienced a failure that caused leaking may be able to pursue a claim for damages in a proposed class action lawsuit.

What’s Going On?

The national class action law firm of Edelson Lechtzin LLP is investigating reports that Schluter drains may be defectively designed or manufactured. The alleged defects affect the bonding fleece on the drain flange, which may not properly adhere to the stainless steel drain channel, allowing water to seep underneath.

Attorneys want to speak with homeowners who have suffered damage to their property from leaky Schluter® drains.

Which Products Are Affected?

  • Schluter®-KERDI-LINE
  • Schluter®-KERDI-LINE-A
  • Schluter®-KERDI-DS Waterproofing Membrane

What Can You Do?

If you or your contractor purchased and/or installed a Schluter®-Kerdi Line Drain for a shower in your home, fill out the form on THIS PAGE to find out how you may be able to assist with the investigation and potentially recover losses related to this product.

A proposed class action lawsuit claims certain Schulter® drains have a design or manufacturing defect that causes them to be susceptible to failure — the attorneys at Edelson Lechtzin LLP need consumers who have experienced leaky Schluter® drains to come forward to help with their investigation of this case.
